1. Of persons and things, to be, exist: Dz 17:28, Jn 1:1, 8:58, 17:5, al; ὁ ὢν καὶ ὁ ἦν (for past ptcp.), Obj 1:4, 8, 4:8, 11:17, 16:5 (zob. Swete, Ap., 5; M, Pr., 228); τὰ (μὴ) ὄντα, Rz 4:17, 1Kor 1:28.
2. Of times, events, etc., to be, happen, take place: Mt 24:3, Mk 14:2, 15:42, Łk 21:23, Jn 4:6, 23, 5:10, itd.
